Dr. Johnson is a native Texan, getting her start in West Texas. She is a die-hard Aggie and obtained her undergraduate degree in 1996, then graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She has enjoyed practicing small animal medicine for the last two decades. Since relocating to San Antonio several years ago, she has assumed the role of Medical Director here at VCA Health Associates, as well as the role of Area Medical Director for all of San Antonio, Austin and Seguin. Dr. Johnson has 3 amazing kids. The two oldest are currently enrolled at Texas A&M University (Gig ‘Em!) and her youngest is a senior in high school. She has a full house of pets including 3 dogs, 3 cats, a snake and a chinchilla. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching movies.

The care is excellent and the vet is very knowledgeable. The only downside is that wait times can be a bit long during busy periods. But the quality of care makes up for it.
