Dr. Andrew Bean originally comes to us from Pennsylvania, very close to another one of the Great Lakes, Lake Erie. Dr. Bean initially pursued a career in the human medical field but found veterinary medicine more to his liking since it was able to combine his love for animals and high quality medicine. Since he decided to make the switch, he has worked in nearly all levels of the veterinary field during his undergraduate and graduate studies.

As founder and chief veterinarian of West Loop Veterinary Care, Dr. Gonsky has nearly 20 years of veterinary medical care experience, here and at other top area animal hospitals. He has extensive experience in internal medicine, and also a deep interest in natural and alternative medicine and treatments.

Dr. Tracey Maione is the Owner and Medical Director of Oz Animal Hospital. She grew up in Rogers Park and the North Shore suburbs of Chicago, knowing from a young age she wanted to become a Veterinarian. She graduated with high honors from both the College of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 2006.

Dr. Ryan Cohen is the Medical Director at VEG Chicago South Loop.

Dr. Phillips received both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She's passionate about helping owners understand their pets, and is particularly interested in ophthalmology and surgery.

Dr. Amanda Schnitker graduated with honors from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After graduation, she completed a rotating small animal internship at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She then went on to complete a surgical internship at Veterinary Surgical Associates in San Francisco, California (now known as Sage Centers).

Dr. Keets focuses on the primary care and treatment of small companion animals. With a lifelong passion for animals, she is dedicated to building strong relationships with her patients and their human companions through medical excellence and education.

She graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Illinois, and went on to receive an MS in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from Indiana University. She received her DVM from Purdue University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004.
